Coming Soon

August 7, 2008

Okay, so even I know this blog currently looks lame. I’m starting a new job today and that means I’ll be getting home late. The current plan is to start personal cheffing for my family so we won’t have to worry about starting dinner when we get home. Since today is Thursday, we’re going to start with next week.

My plan for the blog is to post my weekly menu – partially to inspire me to get the cooking done and partially to inspire you to try some of these recipes.

We’re going to have a lot of food next week (because we’re taping the cooking show and I’m going to make sure there are leftovers) but after that we’re totally going with the weekly menu and at least one 20 minute meal thrown in.

Stay tuned.

Can’t Wait

August 2, 2008

I’m beyond excited to see the completed segments we taped this past Thursday. We were out at an organic sheep and cattle farm with heirloom gardens all around us in the morning and surrounded by freshly made honey (and the bees who made the honey) all afternoon.

It was really quite unbelievable to spend the day speaking with such dynamic farmers/entrepreneurs who were so knowledgeable about their respective specialties and who were so eloquent when sharing their passion with me and the rest of the production team.

These segments will become the beginning portions of the new season of Cooking With Keitha and I have to say that I wholeheartedly believe they will make the show about a million times more interesting than having me smile into the camera and make food for a half hour.

Of course, in addition to me telling the Cornwall viewing area what great things I have cooking up in the kitchen, I’ll be joined by some very cool guests. Fellow personal chefs Monique Choueiri and Wynne Stevenson (while Wynne would not necessarily call herself a personal chef, she’s worked with me A LOT and I say otherwise!) will be alongside me sharing their extensive knowledge as well.

I do believe we’re going to have fun in the kitchen and I can’t wait!
